1. Presented a scientific paper entitled, "Need for continuing education in Hospital and Clinical Pharmacy", at 49th Indian Pharmaceutical Congress held at Thiruvananthapuram from 18th Dec.to 21st  Dec.,1997 

2. Presented following four research papers at 50th IPC and 17th Asian Congress of Pharmaceutical Sciences held at Mumbai from 10th to 13th December, 1998. These research papers have been published in the books of Abstracts. 

i)   Cardiovascular effects of aqueous extract of fruits of Emblica officinalis.

         ii)   Effects of fish oil on the penetration and activity of Nimesulide from gel

              formulation.

iii)  Need to modify operating procedures of hospital pharmacies.

iv)  Prescription analysis of antibiotics and evaluation of prescribing pattern of

     doctors and dispensing pattern of pharmacists for rational drug therapy.

 

3.      Presented a scientific paper entitled,"Comparative anti-inflammatory activity and ulcer-inducing property of four commonly used NSAIDs" at Southern Regional Conference of Pharmacologists 99, held at Perundurai from 18th June to 20th June,1999. Paper published in the book of Abstracts.

 

4.      Presented a scientific paper entitled,"In-vivo anti-clastogenic activity of essential oil of Cymbopogon citratus (Lemongrass) in mice"at 51st Indian Pharmaceutical Conference held at Indore in December, 1999. Paper published in the book of Abstracts.

 

5.      Paper entitled,"In-vivo anti-clastogenic effects of extracts of Ocimum sanctum and Rosmarinus officinalis in mice" has been published in the book of Abstracts of the 52nd Indian Pharmaceutical Conference, held at Hyderabad in December, 2000.

 

6.      Presented a paper in the National Seminar on "Recent Developments in Plant Science Research" held at the University of Kashmir during November, 2003.

 

7.      Presented a paper in the National Seminar on "Inter-disciplinary approaches in Zoological Sciences", held at the University of Kashmir during November, 2003.

Presented a paper entitled, “Constitution of National Biotechnology Regulatory Authority of India – Views and Suggestions” at the day-long workshop-cum-consultative meet with state scientists on the draft establishment plan for the NBRA, organized by the J&K Science and Technology Department at the University of Kashmir on August 4th, 2008.
  2. Delivered three guest lectures on Cultivation of Medicinal Plants in J&K at ten-day workshop organized by USIC, Univ. of Kashmir in April, 2008.
  3. Attended two-day workshop on Patents and Intellectual Property Rights organized by Regional Research Institute of Unani Medicine, Srinagar b/n May 1-2, 2008.
  4. Attended day-long expert-level panel discussion on the Changing Dynamics of Higher Education in India, organized by Academic Staff College of the University of Kashmir in collaboration with Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA) at SKICC, Srinagar on Nov. 1st, 2008 and acted as Rapporteur for the day.
  5. Attended 4th J&K Science Congress held at University of Kashmir b/n Nov. 12 - 14, 2008, functioned as Rapporteur for the session on Pharmaceutical Sciences and presented a paper on "Guiding Principles for the formulation of a Drug Policy in the state of J&K".

Served as Joint Organizing Secretary for the two-day National Seminar on "Recent Advances in Pharmaceutical Education and Research" organized by the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Kashmir on July 15 & 16, 2009 and compiled final recommendations of the deliberations for consideration of the government quarters.

Presented paper entitled, “Improvements in drug policy of Indian state of J&K through persistent advocacy and logical interventions by Civil Society Forum” during oral session and the paper entitled “Frequency, types, severity, preventability and costs of adverse drug reactions at a tertiary care hospital over a nine month period” during poster session of the 12th annual conference of the International Society of Pharmacovigilance (ISOP), held at Cancun, Mexico between October 30th to November 2nd, 2012.
  15. Attended two-day seminar-cum-workshop on "Management development in higher education" organized by the UGC-Academic Staff College, University of Kashmir for College Principals and Senior Academicians of University of Kashmir on January 29-30, 2013 and served as Rapporteur for Technical Session-I.

  19. Attended second national summit of the All India Unani Tibbi Congress organized by its J&K Chapter at RRIUM, Srinagar on May 12th, 2015 and delivered an invited lecture on “Pharmacovigilance of Unani medicines”.
  20. Attended 5th National Conference on "Patient Safety and Drug Regulatory Scenario in India", organized by Partnership for Safe Medicines India Initiative in collaboration with Dean, Students Welfare, University of Kashmir on May 20th, 2015 and delivered an invited lecture on “Pharmacovigilance of AYUSH medicines”.
  21. Attended National Inter-disciplinary Science Conference-2015 (NIS’CON-2015) Recent Research Trends in Chemical and Environmental Sciences, jointly organized by P.G. Department of Chemistry, P.G. Department Environmental Sciences, S.P. College, Srinagar and Department of Environment & Water Management on 18-19th August, 2015 and presented a paper entitled, "Promoting rational use of medicines in Kashmiri population by evaluating prescribing patterns of doctors".

Attended two-day national seminar on "Quality concerns in higher education" jointly organized by NAAC and Faculty of Education, Central University of Kashmir, Srinagar on 10-11 September, 2015 and presented a paper entitled, "Ten strategic reforms required in higher education system of J&K state".
  23. Attended 9th annual conference of the North Zone Indian Association of Social and Preventive Medicine organized by the Dept. of Social and Preventive Medicine, Govt. Medical College, Srinagar in collaboration with Indian Association of Social and Preventive Medicine at Govt. Medical College Srinagar and presented a paper entitled, "Pharmaco-epidemiological research as a means for promoting rational use of medicines in Kashmiri population" on October 9th, 2015.
  24. Chaired a technical session during Global Conference of Unani Medicines, organized by the Directorate of Indian System of Medicine, J&K, in collaboration with World Unani Foundation, at SKICC, Srinagar on October 13th, 2015 and delivered an invited lecture on “Safety evaluation and monitoring of Unani medicines”.
  25. Attended 11th JK Science Congress organized by and held at the University of Kashmir on from October 12-14, 2015 and presented a paper entitled, "Drug Utilization Research as a means of promoting rational use of medicines in Kashmiri population - an overview of seven studies" on October 14th, 2015. Received best paper award in Medical Science Section for this presentation.

Attended review committee meeting as an expert member to finalize research protocols for operationalization of the National Drug Utilization Evaluation Programme of India at New Delhi headquarters of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) on September 28-29, 2015 and made a presentation on “Drug utilization evaluation of antimicrobials in ambulatory care and community households-a multicentric study”.
  27. Attended 16th Annual Conference of the International Society of Pharmacovigilance (ISoP) held at Agra from October 17-19, 2016 and presented a paper entitled, "Drug utilization evaluation as a tool for minimizing risk and promoting rational use of medicines".
  28. Attended two-day National Inter-disciplinary Conference on “Science for sustainable Development” SSD-2016 at S.P. College Srinagar on February 25th, 2017 and presented a paper entitled, "APPLICATION OF PHARMACOMETABONOMIC TECHNIQUES FOR PERSONALIZED MEDICINE AND IMPROVED CLINICAL OUTCOME".
  29. Attended 2nd J&K Medical Science Congress and 1st Annual Conference of MPPCOS Society at SKICC Srinagar from May 10-13, 2017 and chaired a technical session on "Rational Pharmacotherapeutics in NCDs" besides presenting a paper each in oral and poster sessions.
  30. Attended expert review committee meeting for Human Resource Development Centres at UGC Head Office, Bahadur Shah Zaffar Marg, New Delhi on October 12th, 2017 and made a powerpoint presentation on the performance of UGC-HRDC, University of Kashmir during 12th plan period (2012-2017).

Attended 3rd J&K Medical Science Congress organized by Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences, SKIMS in collaboration with J&K Science, Technology and Innovation Council on December 30-31, 2019. Acted as a panelist during a panel discussion on “Strategies for enhancing research in Jammu and Kashmir” and a brainstorming session on “Formulating research consortium in Jammu and Kashmir”. Made a presentation on “Measures to boost biomedical research in Jammu and Kashmir” during the panel discussion.

Attended 1st SPUPC (Scope and Prospects of Unani Medicine in Pediatric Healthcare), organized by the National Unani Doctors’ Welfare Association (NUDWA) in collaboration with Hermas Doctors Academy, Kerala at SKICC, Srinagar on January 19th, 2020 and co-chaired a scientific sessionon “Use of Unani medicines in pediatrics”.
  42. Attended international webinar on the theme "Innovative strategies for pharmacists in Covid-19". The webinar covered new things being done by practicing pharmacists, researches being conducted and other new possibilities. The webinar was hosted by Karnataka Registered Pharmacists Association, Mysuru and R. R. College of Pharmacy, Bangalore on July 13th, 2020.

Attended 2nd Annual Monitoring cum Expert Committee Meeting / Brainstorming Meeting, as an Expert Member to review the ongoing project entitled “Prospective evaluation of etiological factors, trajectory of co-morbidities, and efficacy and safety of various therapeutic agents among Indian women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS): A Multi-centric ICMR-PCOS Cohort Study Phase II.” on 23rd July 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the C.G. Pandit Board Room, ICMR Headquarters, New Delhi, in online mode.

Organized and attended a day-long career counselling session for the students and scholars of the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Kashmir wherein five lectures were delivered by the distinguished alumni of the department on five different topics related to the main theme, “Fast changing landscape of the careers in Pharmaceutical Sciences: Preparedness and Transformation needed”. Session was conducted in the online mode on July 26, 2025.

Attended “NEP-2020 implementation workshop cum Vice-Chancellor’s Conclave” at Central University of Kashmir, Tulmulla campus on behalf of Vice-Chancellor, University of Kashmir on August 2, 2025 and presented my action plan for implementation of NEP-2020 in the higher education institutions of J&K.

Attended a multi-stakeholders review meeting organized jointly by the Department of Health and Medical Education, Department of School and Higher Education, Department of Social Welfare, Government of Jammu and Kashmir on “Scenario of substance use disorder in the UT of Jammu and Kashmir”, under the chairpersonship of Ms. Sakina Itoo, Minister for Health, Medical Education, School and Higher Education, Social Welfare, Govt of J&K at Sher-i-Kashmir International Convention Complex (SKICC), Srinagar on August 25, 2025 and presented my suggestions for controlling the menace of substance abuse in J&K.

Organized and attended a day-long ‘Skills India Competition 2025 Awareness cum Orientation Programme” and Certificate Distribution Function for the pass-outs of Directorate of Lifelong Learning (DLL), University of Kashmir in collaboration with Mission Directorate, Skill Development Department, Govt. of J&K on September 18 2025.
